Hi, I’m Alice.
I’m really glad you’re here.
I believe in your right to seek mental health support from someone whose values and beliefs align with your own. That doesn’t mean we have to agree on everything, and the services I offer are not dependent on whether you agree with me, but feeling safe and comfortable with your therapist is one of the most important factors in effective therapy. Here are some of the things that shape who I am and how I practice:
I have lived experience as an AuDHD woman and parenting neurodivergent kiddos.
I believe that it is important to name and acknowledge systems of oppression and how they impact your mental health. Our mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum, it is influenced by the world around us.
I work to explore and understand responses to trauma, not pathologise them.
I support body-autonomy, affirming care, and weight-neutral movements
I acknowledge the power imbalances that exist in mental health services, and work with you to navigate these.
I don’t have all of the answers - let’s work together to find what works for you.
Humour and authenticity are important parts of therapy
